Gulf Bay charters is operated by a father son duo, Rick & Jake Durant. Combined these two captains have over 30 years of professional fishing in Pensacola’s Gulf of Mexico and waterways. Both of our captains were born and raised in Pensacola and have been avid outdoorsman since they can remember.
We have two boats we captain a 2021, 2550XX skeeter which is operated by Jake Durant and our 2021, 33ft World Cat operated by Rick Durant. Both our boats operate out of Southwind Marina in Perdido Key, FL and are able to serve travelers in Pensacola, FL and Orange Beach, AL.

Captain Jake Durant
Once Captain Jake, was old enough to be on the water he was. He began helping Captain Rick at a young age and steadily absorbed knowledge of the profession throughout his teenage years. Once Captain Jake was out of college and ready to start his career, he got a captain’s license of his own and began running his own charters.

Captain Rick Durant
Captain Rick, 58, was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida and has been an outdoorsman his entire life. Once settled down after his professional baseball career, he began his fishing charter business out of Perdido Key, Florida. Throughout the years he has earned a strong reputation of being a reliable captain in the area and built a strong client base for himself.
